Arizona’s Continuing Education Law
~ Effective January 1, 2005 ~
Only those agents and brokers who have a non-resident license(s) have a continuing education requirement in Arizona! In other words, if you have only an Arizona resident license you will have NO Continuing Education Requirement.
The Arizona Department of Insurance has signed reciprocity agreements with all states. Please understand that the states that have signed reciprocity agreements with Arizona means that you will only need to complete your Arizona Continuing Education requirement to satisfy your non-resident licenses. Once you have completed your continuing education requirement, you will need to obtain a letter of Home State Certification from the Arizona Department of Insurance to turn in to the states that you have non-resident licenses issued in.
What courses will count toward C.E. requirements? ONLY those courses that have been approved by Thomson-Prometric(Arizona’s Continuing Education Provider). A list of the approved courses can be found on Thomson-Prometric's web site a www.thomsonprometric.com or a fax-back listing can be received by calling 1-800-899-4184.
Licensees should not send certificates of course completion to Experior. Licensees will need to submit their certificates of course completion to the Arizona Department of Insurance as part of the license renewal process. The Department will continue to handle all aspects of license issue, renewal and appointment processing.
CE Requirements if you hold non-resident license(s):
20 Hours for 2 Year Renewal Licenses regardless of P&C only or both P&C and L&H
40 Hours for 4 Year Renewal Licenses regardless of P&C only or both P&C and L&H
