Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) Designation Program
The CIC Program is designed to meet the practicing insurance professional’s need for technical knowledge in all areas of the insurance industry. Each institute consists of two and one-half days of intensive instruction followed by a rigorous optional examination. CIC Institutes include the following subjects:
Personal Lines – This institute prepares you to address the unique and special needs of individuals, families, and family members. You will learn to deal with the complexity of the myriad of forms associated with policies, risks, and coverages. This institute covers: Personal Automobile Coverages, Related Vehicle & Trailer Coverages, Personal Residential Coverages and Personal Umbrella/Excess Coverages.
Commercial Casualty – Explore casualty exposures and coverages as they relate to this critical area. Presentations are custom-tailored to reflect the laws and changes in policies in the state in which the institute is held. This institute encompasses: Essentials of Legal Liability, Commercial General Liability, Business Automobile Coverages, Workers Compensation and Excess Liability/Commercial Umbrella Coverages.
Commercial Property – This institute explores the essential fundamentals related to all types of commercial property. As a participant, you will learn how to use innovative ways to maximize coverage for commercial accounts. This institute covers: Commercial Property Coverages, Commercial Property Causes of Loss Forms, Commercial Property Endorsements, Time Element Coverages and Commercial Inland Marine Coverages.
Life and Health – Research has shown that the opportunities for property and casualty agents to develop life and health business are virtually limitless. This institute furnishes the background and knowledge you need to serve this demand and to build the confidence you need to handle this market. This institute covers: Essentials of Life Insurance, Essentials of Health, Disability Income & Group Insurance, Applications of Life & Health Insurance to Personal Needs, Applications of Life & Health Insurance to Business Needs and Organizational Structure & Marketing Techniques.
Agency Management – Agency personnel today must be both professional insurance counselors and sound business people. Learn how to balance these functions by building and maintaining staff support, maximizing customer service, and improving overall operations while increasing the agency’s bottom line. This institute combines classroom presentations and group discussions to provide you the opportunity to deal with real issues and problems. It includes: The Agency as an Organization, Human Resources, Marketing & Sales, Financial Management, Agency Operations, Legal & Ethical Responsibilities of Insurance Agents, Group Discussions and Agency Planning Case Study.
You may take any institute in any sequence that you wish.
To obtain your CIC designation, you must complete and pass all five examinations within 5 years of passing your first CIC exam.
COST: $395.00 per participant per institute. Ruble seminars are priced at $420.00.
