To promote and represent the common business interests of
independent insurance agents within industry, before the legislature and
the public. To this end, the Association shall promote insurance
education among its members and encourage greater public
understanding of the workings of the insurance business and the
American Agency System; produce publications and programs of the
highest quality designed to enhance the professional development of
its membership; communicate with and explain to federal, state, and
local governing bodies, insurance companies, and the public the
ramifications of matters of direct interest to its members in their
conduct of the business of insurance, and to generally promote and
encourage friendly relations among its members, with insurance
companies and the public.
