Professional Independent Insurance Agents of Colorado (PIIAC), a non-profit trade association, is the spokesman for the Colorado’s independent agent property and casualty segment of the insurance industry. The Association was formed on July 1, 1992, through consolidation of the Independent Insurance Agents of Colorado and the Professional Insurance Agents of Colorado. PIIAC represents more than 2,500 independent insurance agents in Colorado and affiliates with two national organizations, Independent Insurance Agents of America and National Association of Professional Insurance Agents. PIIAC membership is comprised of leaders in the insurance industry. These members guide PIIAC to complete its mission for all independent insurance agents and their customers throughout Colorado. PIIAC is a powerful front through the professionalism of its members and staff.

PIIAC “… of the Year” Awards

At the recent 2009 PIIAC Annual Convention & Trade Show, PIIAC handed out its 2009 “… of the Year” awards.  Twenty-seven individuals were nominated for their achievements in both their industry and community.  The recipients of PIIAC's 2009 “… of the Year” awards are:

Company Manager of the Year – Philip Lucca, CPCU

Company Underwriter of the Year – Earnest C. Reese Jr., AIS – Pinnacol Assurance

Company Marketing Person of the Year – Michelle Adams – Pinnacol Assurance

Young Agent of the Year – Scott Carlson – Cherry Creek Insurance Group
