The Young Agents Spring Conference is a unique opportunity for agents to receive 4 continuing education credits and network with representatives of the companies who sponsor the IIAC Young Agents Committee.   This year's program will consist of two sections:

E&O Loss Control for Agency Social Media & Technology Exposure
Christopher Weldon, Esq., Keidel, Weldon & Cunningham, LLP and
James Keidel, Esq., Keidel, Weldon & Cunningham, LLP
The increase in the use of social media and technology has added new E&O exposures for agents and agencies.  This portion of the spring conference will cover the issues regarding social networking and the laws (or lack thereof) governing its use.   Duties of an agent, claims reporting, privacy, advertising and documentation will be discussed.  The usage of email, cell phones and PDA’s will also be covered.
 
Privacy & Network Security

The second half of the presentation will review current security breaches in the United States and discuss the significance of each breach.  State and Federal Laws regarding notifications of breaches, regulatory actions, Federal Trade Commission and Red Flag Rules will be discussed.  Present day insurance coverages and underwriting needs will also be reviewed.
