 What is the CIC Program?
The CIC designation signifies a high level of professional education and a commitment to a course of continuing education. Persons who earn the CIC designation have indicated they recognize the need for practical insurance education through their careers as insurance professionals.
The CIC designation is earned by attending five three-day institutes, including Life and Health, Commercial Property, Commercial Casualty, Personal Lines and Agency Management. At the conclusion of each institute, a rigorous examination must be passed. The designation is awarded by officials of the Society of Certified Insurance Counselors at conferment ceremonies during MAIA's Small Agency Conference. | CIC Scholarship
If you are an agency member of the MAIA, and not currently a CIC, you may qualify for a scholarship, which consists of $396 registration fee for one CIC institute, donated by the Missouri Association of Insurance Agents and the Society of Certified Insurance Counselors.
