Small Agency Conference
March 21-22, 2013, Holiday Inn, Columbia, Mo.
This annual conference, which began in 1990, is designed to meet the unique education and networking needs of small to mid-sized agencies—agencies that write a lot of small accounts, and not as many large commercial accounts. Consequently, these agencies come from both metropolitan as well as small towns and rural areas. Includes a trade show with nearly 100 companies exhibiting, timely education programs, CIC and CISR conferment ceremonies, and various opportunities for networking, and much company involvement. This event is traditionally held in Columbia, Mo.
Our 2012 Small Agency Conference featured keynote speaker Dr. Jason Selk. There were nearly 300 agents in attendance and once again, the trade show was an incredible success. The 2012 conference, held July 18-20, at The Lodge of Four Seasons, again proved its popularity, with approximately 400 registrants. Continued development of the Best Practices platform for the education sessions included sessions on business continuity, producer compensation and crisis management. The keynote speech from Mary Matalin and James Carville provided both laughs and political insight. The Block Party and Strolling Dinner, the Awards and Installation Banquet, and the legislative and regulatory session, Eggs and Issues, all helped to round out an excellent conference.
