The Montana Young Agents Committee is a standing committee of the Independent Insurance Agents' Association of Montana.

The committee is comprised of energetic independent agency and company personnel who are 40 years of age and under, or who have less than 5 years experience in the business.

We are the individuals who will become the future leaders of the association, leaders in our communities and are our best resource to perpetuate our Independent Agencies and Companies. 

What are the goals of the Young Agents Committee?

• Take advantage of the opportunity to network with fellow young agents throughout Montana;
• Keep informed of changes in the insurance industry, through state political process and nationally, and learn how to implement these changes in our overall Independent Agency System;
• To support right / ethical principals and sound practices of the business of insurance;
• To encourage, support, and assist young people to enter into the insurance field as independent agents;
• Enhance the image of the Independent Insurance Agents' Association of Montana (IIAMT) ; and
• Participate in young agents activities and to encourage active involvement in the IIAMT association.

Why become a Young Agent?

Participation as a young agent exhibits your dedication and commitment to the industry.  It gives you a firm foundation and background to get involved at the state and national levels on committees and in leadership roles.

Agencies, new and old, turn to young agents for fresh ideas and talent.  They realize the important and vital role young agents play in protecting their agencies and perpetuating the independent agency system.  They understand the potential return to their agencies through their networking and communication with industry peers.
