Each year, IIANC awards association members and company partners for their achievements and dedication to the insurance industry. The association presents awards for: Agent of the Year, Young Agent of the Year, Company Professional of the Year, Ernest F. Young Education Award, Lifetime Achievement Award, AAMGA Award, Company of the Year, Broker of the Year and Presidential Citations.

John Hall of Fortner Insurance Agency in Spruce Pine, NC was named the 2011 Agent of the Year for his outstanding service to IIANC, the insurance industry, his agency, community and family. |
| | Young Agent of the Year
Karl Sherrill of Senn Dunn Insurance in Greensboro, NC was named as IIANC's 2011 Young Agent of the Year for his outstanding commitment and performance for his agency, association, industry, community and family. Karl served as Vice Chairman of the Young Agents Committee this year. |
| | Company Professional of the Year
The 2011 Company Professional of the Year award was given to Wayne Sumner of Jackson Sumner & Associates for the outstanding support he and his company have shown to IIANC throughout the years.

| | Ernest F. Young Education Award
The 2011 Ernest F. Young Education Award was presented to Buck Harris, CIC of Harris & Company in Sanford, NC for his commitment to IIANC’s award-winning education program. |
| | AAMGA Achievement Award
The 2011 AAMGA Achievement Award, sponsored by the American Association of Managing General Agents, was presented to Leamon Clemmons, CISR of Brunswick Insurance Services in Supply, NC for his outstanding leadership of the Trusted Choice Big I Junior Classic Committee. |
| | Broker of the Year
2011 Broker of the Year honors went to Johnson & Johnson of Charleston, SC. This award is presented to the broker that has demonstrated support for association activities and commitment to the independent agency system. This is the sixth consecutive year Johnson & Johnson has received this prestigious award.

| | Company of the Year Award
Montgomery Insurance received the 2011 Company of the
Year award, which is presented to the company that has demonstrated support for association activities and commitment to the independent agency system. Montgomery Insurance also won this award in 2008, 2009 and 2010. |
| | Chairman's Citation
Don Evans of Coastal Insurance in Shallotte, NC was honored
for his service to IIANC and leadership on the IIANC Board of Directors as National Director for the last eight years. |
