ACCREDITED CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE (ACSR)
The Accredited Customer Service Representative (ACSR) program is a nationally recognized program created by the Independent Insurance Agents and Brokers of America, Inc. and AICPCU/IIA. It provides participants with a strong insurance foundation and equips them with the skills needed to succeed in today’s agency environment.
Throughout the insurance industry, an ACSR designation is recognized as a mark of
commitment, distinction, and excellence.
ACSR’s have an increased product knowledge, improved selling and account rounding
skills, higher levels of customer service, technical expertise, enhanced productivity,

PERSONAL LINES DESIGNATION MODULES
Module 1 - Homeowners Insurance
This course will introduce homeowners policy provisions and help to develop an understanding of the endorsements and pricing, other residential policies, the perils, exclusions and conditions, and provide tips and examples that will allow a firm understanding of this important coverage.
Module 2 - Personal Automobile Insurance
This course will introduce automobile insurance and society, the personal auto policy (PAP) provisions, how to understand endorsements, pricing, and underwriting. It will also provide tips and examples to help understand liability coverage, medical payments, and information on uninsured motorists.
Module 3 - Personal Lines Related Coverage
This course will provide information on dwelling policies, conditions and endorsements, the personal umbrella policy, inland marine floaters, watercraft insurance, government insurance programs, and share real life tips and examples to help explain the content.
(Required for each designation. Individuals pursing multiple designations only need to take the Core Modules once.)
Module 4 - Errors & Omissions Loss Control
Learn what a Best Practices approach to Errors & Omissions is and understand agent liability, client responsibilities, how to reduce your clients exposures, common errors, specialty markets, and how to process an E&O claim.
Module 5 - Professional Development
Learn how to take customer service to the next level through understanding and satisfying customer needs, developing a professional appearance, communication, and knowledge that shines through. This class is based on IIABA's Best Practices Guide - Customer Service Made Simple.
COMMERCIAL LINES DESIGNATION MODULES
Module 6 - Commercial Property Insurance
This course will introduce property loss exposures, building and personal property causes of loss, endorsements, and discuss business income and other aspects of insuring commercial property.
Module 7 - Commercial Liability Insurance
This course will examine liability loss exposures, CGL occurrences, claims made forms, review endorsements, commercial umbrella, and underwriting guidelines.
Module 8 - Commercial Auto Insurance
This course reviews Business Auto Coverage (BAC) and endorsements, and evaluates the garage and truckers forms.
Module 9 - Commercial Lines Related Coverages
This course examines inland and ocean marine policies, crime, business owners policies (BOP), workers compensation, and provides an overview of bonds.
LIFE AND HEALTH DESIGNATION MODULES
Module 10 - Understanding Life Insurance
This course will introduce the fundamentals of life insurance. The course acquaints students with the needs and types of life insurance, and life insurance provisions, settlement options, and riders, concluding with an overview of underwriting life insurance.
Module 11 - Understanding Health Insurance
This course will introduce the fundamentals of individual and group health insurance plans. The course acquaints students with the needs and types of health insurance and health insurance policy provisions, including basic and major medical insurance, and introduces the types of managed care plans.
Module 12 - Understanding Disability, Government and Long-Term Care Insurance
This course will introduce the fundamentals of government health insurance programs, as well as disability and long-term care insurance. The course helps the students understand the various government programs available, starting with the descriptions of Medicare Parts A and B, then Medicaid, and the basics of workers' compensation.
