INSURANCE REGULATION |
IIABNJ works with the New Jersey Department of Banking & Insurance (DOBI) and other state agencies to develop and review regulations being proposed as New Jersey Statutes relating to business, labor, workers compensation, insurance, and various consumer protections.
The Government Affairs Committee tracks and reviews numerous regulations to review and comment within the allotted time period. When a regulation is adopted, IIABNJ will share that information, along with the implementation date, with the membership through the website, The Independent Voice, or, depending on the urgency of the adopted regulation, The Watchdog.
Most regulations affecting Big ‘I’ members will come through DOBI. Links to important Department websites can be found below.
