Legislative Affairs - NIIA maintains the most active and effective industry lobbying effort in the state. NIIA is represented on a daily basis when the state legislature is in session.

NIIA has been instrumental in the enactment of legislation designed to protect and enhance the interests of our members and their clients, and has successfully fought against detrimental legislation that would negatively impact the Independent Agency System and to the insurance buying public as a whole. NIIA also promotes the interests of our members to state elected officials and represents independent agents at the Division of Insurance as well as the Department of Motor Vehicles.
