Overview
The IIABNY Industry Index, an index of selected carriers, rates the industry’s overall performance in personal and commercial lines as well as assigns individual performance index scores to each carrier for its personal and commercial lines of business. The individual carrier scores and related components are also available to carriers in order to facilitate their improvement in key areas.
History
To support the collective interests of its membership, IIABNY wanted to make the vast wealth of experience with individual carriers held by its membership available to all its members. In order to facilitate this goal, IIABNY commissioned the development of a comprehensive carrier performance evaluation tool – the IIABNY Industry Index. In the summer of 2007, the first IIABNY Industry Index was completed and was well received by both IIABNY members and insurance carriers.
