The mission of the Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of New York, Inc., working in the public’s best interest, is to advance the performance and success of independent insurance agencies and brokerages in New York.

What We Do
The Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of New York, Inc., commonly known as IIABNY, exists to fulfill the educational, political, and business interests of our more than 1,750 agencies and their 13,000 plus employees. 

Our members are independent insurance agents and brokers, which means that they can provide consumers with a choice of products from more than one insurance company and in turn give consumers unrivaled service, and the best auto, homeowner, and business coverage to meet their changing needs.

Related Entities

IAAC, Inc., the membership services division of IIABNY, was organized in 1973 to offer the various profit-making services of the Association. The mission of IAAC is to provide financial support and membership value to IIABNY. IAAC offers insurance products for members to purchase, insurance products for members to sell to their clients, and non-insurance products for members to utilize and/or market to their clients.

IAPAC (Independent Agents Political Action Corporation) was organized in 1977 to collect funds for use in our New York State Legislative effort. Monies are donated voluntarily by the membership and contributions are made to the political campaigns of legislators who are sympathetic to the problems of small business people, particularly insurance agents.
