Education Requirements

In Oklahoma, residents and non-resident agents are required to have twenty-four (24) hours of Continuing Education every two years. This 24 hour requirement MUST include three hours of ethics and two hours of legislative credits. Brokers must meet the requirement through their agent license.

Residents must comply at the time of license renewal. Excess credit hours may not be carried over. You must wait two years before repeating a course for credit.

Customer Service Representative Licenses

For those holding a Customer Service Representative license, you must complete thirteen (13) hours of continuing education every two years. This 13 hours MUST include three hours of ethics and two hours of legislative updates.

Adjuster Licenses

Adjusters must complete twenty-four (24) hours of continuing education every two years, including two hours of ethics.

Flood Insurance
If you sell flood insurance you must take one three hour Flood course that is approved through the NFIP. Click here to read the bulletin put out by the OID.
