Hypopanty is the Greek word for meeting. It was a feast and celebration of things hoped for and promised but not yet attained. It was a joyous occasion and gathering of friends. Hypopanty is just such an event.
This event has become the premier property and casualty industry gathering in the state of Oklahoma. It offers attendees quality educational seminars, the latest information on industry enhancements and forums to meet and interact with company management. In addition, there are plenty of networking opportunities, so agents and company personnel can enjoy old friendships and make new ones.

Young Agents Conference 2013
April 4 & 5, Embassy Suites Norman - Hotel & Conference Center
IIAO supports the future of the industry - Young Agents. This two-day Leadership Conference is aimed at meeting the needs of today's young insurance professionals. In Oklahoma, young agents are those agency or company personnel under 40 years old or who have less than five (5) years in the business.

Challenge Cup Golf
The Independent Insurance Agents of Oklahoma Challenge Cup Golf Series was designed to offer a competitive atmosphere for golfers in the Oklahoma insurance industry.
The Series began in 1993 when a small number of insurance golf outings, designed as either fund raisers, association outings or company appreciation days joined together in a joint effort to provide a regularly scheduled, well advertised, and well organized golf forum for the insurance golfers of the state. Originally, there were four outings. Six individual tournaments are now conducted each year.
Prizes are offered at each event for both "scramble" and "real" golf giving each entry a choice as to the level of competition in which he or she wants to participate. "Real" golf competition is on a handicap basis and the handicaps for the two hundred plus golfers on the association’s mailing list are monitored frequently to insure a level playing field. Individual winners are recognized at each outing and a yearly playoff involving the winners of the separate outings and a small group of non-winners, selected by a point system designed around participation and scoring is held each year to determine the winner of the coveted green pyramid trophy which honors the IIAO Challenge Cup Golfer Of The Year. A larger green pyramid trophy is located in the Oklahoma City IIAO office lobby with names of each of these past winners engraved thereon.
