Risk in Shades of Green
The popularity of sustainable design and construction is gaining ground in the U.S. and insurance professionals are being asked to provide coverage for new building techniques. We will discuss emerging issues relative to “green” building and will examine new risks created by society’s desire for environmentally safe and sustainable building design and construction. We will review the legal consequences relative to “green” construction and provide an overview of the impact of this movement on insurance professionals and insurance products.
