Purpose
The IIABSC Foundation was established in 1984 as a special means of providing support for any such programs helping to create a public image that will serve the insurance industry and have lasting effects on the association and its members.
With tax-deductible contributions, the Foundation's long-term goal is to underwrite endeavors that will enhance the lives of all South Carolinians across the state. The Foundation has contributed to programs to improve safety, deter crime and provide education in insurance.

Grants
Arson Informant Rewards
In conjunction with SC Insurance News Service and SLED's Arson Hotline to provide rewards for information leading to the arrest and conviction of arsonists
University Scholarships
Provides yearly scholarships to the School of Business Administration at South Carolina universities for students focusing on degrees in insurance and risk management
IIABSC Continuing Education
Sponsors education programs for agents and customer service reps professional and personal growth. Provides scholarships to the CIC Institute for agents interested in pursuing the CIC designation. Provides scholarships for Young Agents to attend the National Legislative Conference and learn how to participate in the legislative process beyond voting.
