Medical Malpractice Mock Trial
This exciting educational program is designed to teach insurance agents and brokers some of the most likely variables to impact medical malpractice liability exposure. It includes a mock trial based on a real SC case that illustrates the importance of teamwork, documentation, adequate case evaluation and work up, proper defense of the physician and effective communication with patients.
Insurance practitioners will gain valuable insight into the risks faced by their medical professional clients, the roles their defense counsel and insurance company play and a deeper understanding of how to structure appropriate coverage to address their needs. The course will highlight potential E&O consequences of a lack of knowledge when placing this line of coverage for their medical professional clients, and guide them in best practices to avoid that exposure in an agency environment. The course will demonstrate the importance to the agent of understanding the types of exposure faced by their medical clients and the importance of placement of correct coverage and limits for medical providers.
