New September 2009 ACORD 24 and 25 Forms They say that 13 is unlucky, so perhaps that explains why ACORD swiftly went through the working group process following the 13th edition of the ACORD 25 certificate of insurance in January 2009. This group has produced a new September 2009 14th edition that incorporates possibly the most significant changes since the ACORD 25 was introduced in November 1977.

“CGL Contractual Liability Coverage...Does It Override Exclusions?” The exclusions in the CGL policy still apply to insured contracts. For example, you as a tenant may assume a landlord’s tort liability to premises visitors but if they’re harmed by the escape of a pollutant from your premises, the pollution exclusion would supersede the insured contract provision. Otherwise, everyone would be transferring risk by contract knowing that there would be NO exclusions in the indemnitor’s CGL policy.
Your insured had a tire blowout. The tire came apart and the tread came up into the fender housing, damaging it, the hood, and part of the firewall. The adjuster denied the claim on the basis that blowouts aren't covered. Do you agree? If so, why? If not, what is the basis for coverage and is it a comprehensive or collision claim?
