This area is for use by students who want to take an online course.  Many courses within the Virtual University are eligible for continuing education credit, and the ACSR personal and core modules are now available.

Click here to view our course catalog of nearly 100 classes and find one that interests you!
Click here to create an account and register for an online class.

Please note that the login ID and password used to access your student folder is self-created, and not automatically the information used to access other areas within the IIABA website.

If you have questions about continuing education (CE) credits for online courses, CE rules and regulations, or are having a problem in processing your CE, you will need to call or email your local IIABA state association office. Do NOT contact the IIABA national office. All CE is administered at the state level and calling or emailing the Big "I" Virtual University staff will only delay your CE response  and processing. Click here for IIABA state association contact information.
International Visitors.  If you are an international visitor who is just interested in auditing a course, CLICK HERE.
Minimum Software. If you are reading this, then you have at least the minimum software to use most of the VU web site. For online courses, all you'll need is a web browser (Internet Explorer, Netscape and others) and, for some courses, Adobe Acrobat. If you need to upgrade this free software, you can do this at our Getting Started page if you are a member or subscriber.
Privacy Statement. When you register for a course, your personal information is used by us solely for registration and CE processing and reporting purposes. We will not share this information for any other purpose with other parties not involved in this process, nor will we use this information for any other Virtual University activities such as mailing lists or newsletter subscriptions without your express written consent. Registration for a course does not constitute such consent.

New Online Course and Designation

Independent agents and brokers can now earn their environmental Strategist (eS) designation through the environmental Strategist class offered online through the Big “I” Virtual University.
The class will equip agents and brokers with the knowledge to produce and deliver better all around products to their clients, by understanding and analyzing the risk involved in environmental issues. The class aims to demystify environmental insurance, a product that has long been viewed as an extremely specialized coverage.  eS designees will be able to seamlessly incorporate environmental risk management and insurance into their everyday routine.
Designates receive the certification by successful completion of the informational seminar and online course content, and are provided with a variety of additional benefits for one year including unlimited use of the reference library containing hundreds of published environmental risk related articles, a quarterly eStrategist™ newsletter and full access to the glossary of environmental acronyms and terms.
