An Effective Advocate

IIABW's lobbyist, Bill Stauffacher, works with IIABW's Government Affairs Committee to advocate proactively for agents and brokers. We have a dedicated grassroots network who respond quickly to pending legislation through calls and emails to their elected officials.
Annual Day at the Capital
Each year, IIABW collaborates with other producer associations and insurance companies on this important event to educate insurance professionals on the latest legislative and regulatory issues and to lobby legislators on IIABW's legislative priorities.
Big I Pac
IIABW supports legislative candidates who best reflect our positions through Big I Pac, our political action committee. In 2010, Big I Pac raised almost $500,000 which included contributions to the I1082 worker's compensation campaign. Personal and corporate contributions can be made to the Big I Pac. 
Washington D.C.

InsurPac, IIABA's political action committee, represents agents' and brokers' views on federal issues and helps elect favorable candidates to the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives. IIABW annually raises $30,000+ for InsurPac - click here for a list of contributors.
Office of the Insurance Commissioner
IIABW works closely with Insurance Commissioner Mike Kriedler and his staff on legislative initiatives and regulatory reforms. We have representatives on the Insurance Commissioner's advisory committee, which provides an independent agent's voice in the regulation of our industry.
