The Independent Insurance Agents and Brokers of Washington (IIABW) was founded in 1910 as a voluntary, non-profit trade association organized for the benefit of independent insurance agents and brokers. IIABW's mission is to position our members for success and foster a favorable business environment and a healthy insurance industry to better serve individuals and their communities.

• The Big I has affiliated local associations throughout the state which act independently but in coordination with IIABW.
