Higher Education Scholarship

Are you currently attending college or planning to attend college after high school? Either way, the "Higher Education" scholarship is best for you.

*Must be participating in a high school or community college InVEST class and pursuing higher education with an emphasis on insurance, risk management, actuarial science or business. Each applicant must submit the following:

• A completed/signed 2010 InVEST Scholarship Application (This form grants InVEST the right to publicize and print any or all of the student’s entry and/or photograph.)
• At least two different letters of recommendation from teachers, counselors, liaisons, mentors, etc.
• A 500 word typewritten essay which should include details on the following:
  - the benefits of having participated in InVEST
  - plans for further education and how these plans were influenced by InVEST
  - other activities that demonstrate the student’s interests and abilities like academic honor societies, sports, extracurricular activities, internships, after-school jobs, etc.
• A copy of current school transcript which includes grade point average to date
• A non-returnable photograph OPTIONAL (an original class picture preferred, not scanned)

***Entries are judged on creativity, content, format, grammar, spelling, punctuation and neatness. All entries become property of InVEST. Entries are due April 9, 2010 and should be mailed to:
