Higher Education Scholarship
Are you currently attending college or planning to attend college after high school? Either way, the "Higher Education" scholarship is best for you.
*Must be participating in a high school or community college InVEST class and pursuing higher education with an emphasis on insurance, risk management, actuarial science or business. Each applicant must submit the following: A completed/signed 2011 InVEST Scholarship Application (This form grants InVEST the right to publicize and print any or all of the student’s entry and/or photograph.) At least two different letters of recommendation from teachers, counselors, liaisons, mentors, etc. A 500 word typewritten essay which include details on the following:
- the benefits of having participated in InVEST
- plans for further education and how these plans were influenced by InVEST
- other activities that demonstrate the student’s interests and abilities like academic honor societies, sports, extracurricular activities, internships, after-school jobs, etc. (minimum two activities for full credit) A copy of current school transcript which includes grade point average to date A non-returnable photograph OPTIONAL (an original class picture preferred, not scanned) All scholarship packets must be organized with the above items in that order, neatly paper clipped together at the top left hand corner.
***Entries are judged on creativity, content, format, grammar, spelling, punctuation and neatness. All entries become property of InVEST. Entries are due April 8, 2011 and should be mailed to: InVEST Scholarship Contest
