Vote Now for PIIAC’s “… of the Year” Awards | Twenty-five professionals from the Colorado insurance industry have been nominated for PIIAC's annual “… of the Year” awards. To download an official ballot, including award nominee information and comments from those who nominated them, click here. Ballots will be distributed via e-mail or may be downloaded from the link above. Only employee of PIIAC member agencies are eligible to vote. | Producer School | | On October 10-22, 2010, in Fort Worth, Texas, The National Alliance for Insurance Education & Research will conduct its intensive, two week Producer School especially designed for training new producers and getting them up to speed and productive in record time. The Producer School delivers a rare combination of technical expertise and sales know-how. |  | | The $2,500 fee includes two weeks of school for the producer, sales manager training, two CISR online courses, and 12 follow-up webcasts. Participants may choose between two paths depending on their interests and particular book of business – either small commercial and personal lines or a strictly commercial focus. Participants of both tracks will come together for select sessions. One of the most useful activities at Producer School is the construction of a Game Book designed to facilitate turning the learning into earning after the School is complete. All instructors are top industry experts and active, practicing agents who have coached producers to profitability for 10+ years. | 2011 Elite Force Sales Training | Registration is now open for the 2011 Midwest Elite Force Sales Training School, kicking off on November 8, 2010. This Best Practices program was developed by the Big “I” in 2000 to fill a void in sales training for new producers in the independent agency system, and has been turning out sales superstars ever since. For new producers of independent agencies, Elite Force training employs a follow-up sales management system in conjunction with “sales” training customized for independent agents. It’s one of the most comprehensive insurance sales training programs in the industry. The 2010 Midwest Elite Force program is presented by the Independent Insurance Agents of Nebraska, and co-sponsored by Big “I” associations in Colorado (PIIAC), Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Missouri, Oklahoma, and South Dakota. Training for the 2010 school will be conducted at IIA of Nebraska’s learning center in Lincoln, Nebr., and provided by certified, experienced national-level Elite Force instructors. |  | Because students are licensed producers acquiring interpersonal skills to complement their technical and coverage knowledge, class size is limited to a maximum of 15 students. Trusted Choice® Big “I” Junior Golf Classic The Trusted Choice® Big “I” Junior Classic is one of the top five junior golf events in the United States. It is the nation’s largest stroke-play golf tournament with more than 7,000 junior golfers participating annually across the country. The tournament is one of the four legs of junior golf’s unofficial “Grand Slam.” The Classic is sponsored nationally by the Independent Insurance Agents and Brokers of America, and in Colorado by the Professional Independent Insurance Agents of Colorado and their local Independent Agent members.
