Independent Insurance Agents of Kentucky (IIAK) is the oldest and largest statewide insurance organization in Kentucky.
The association was founded in 1896 and currently has more than 400 insurance agencies throughout the state as members. We estimate that there are some 3,000 to 4,000 people staffing those member agencies.

The association provides many services to its members, including professional education,
information, lobbying, and regulatory liaison. IIAK also has programs for its members’ benefit,
such as a group health plan, Errors and Omissions insurance, retirement services and niche
markets.
IIAK has its headquarters in Louisville, Kentucky, and has a staff of six full-time employess

While it is most cost effective to communicate with members of staff by mail, fax, or e-mail; occasions do arise that require a telephone call. Please refer to this listing when writing or calling in order to direct your communication to the staff member who can be of the most immediate assistance to you. All staff members take a one hour lunch period sometime between 11:30 A.M. and 1:30 P.M. There is always a staff member in the office during this time to answer calls.
