“When independent agents Ryan Hanley and Chris Jordan demonstrated how they are using multiple social media tools to build their brand and attract business in an earlier ACT webinar, the audience came alive because it is clear these agents are effectively using these tools today,” says Jeff Yates, ACT executive director. “We are fortunate to have them back to do a 60 minute demonstration as to how they are integrating all of these tools and managing a successful social web strategy.”

Do you want to know how to set up and attract "likes" to your Facebook Fan page or how to use Twitter for business? Wondering if anyone is making sales and growing their business through social networking? Want to learn how to set up an ad on Facebook—and do they really work? Making a YouTube video for business - you have got to be kidding? How does anyone find the time to use all of these new tools? If you want to get answers to these questions and learn how two agents are profiting from the social web, then this webinar is for you.

This is the fourth in a series of webinars hosted by ACT’s Social Web Work Group addressing the most frequent questions from agents regarding the use of social media. The first webinar discussed the experiences agent and carrier representatives have had in setting up a social web policy for their organizations. It supplemented an ACT report titled, “Creating a Social Web Policy for Your Independent Agency.” The second webinar was an introduction to social media for independent agents. Recordings of the first two webinars, the social media policy guide, along with several additional articles and resources on how independent agencies can use the Social Web effectively, are available by going to www.iiaba.net/act and clicking on the “Websites & Social Media” link. The third webinar will take place on May 20 and will address E&O considerations involved in social networking.
